Love Is Like A Butterfly.....

Morning all! Today's offering was inspired by the challenge at Digitally Sweet which is Butterflies. In keeping with the challenge which is TOTALLY digital, I'm showing you the card front first.

Here it is made into the card. This design took a bit of pulling together for some reason - I started out with an idea in my head that just wouldn't translate to page. Thankfully, I eventually ended up with something I was happy with even if quite a few things ended up changed! lol! The red bp (which isn't actually red), the 'glass' border, the sentiment banner and the paper used to back the gold butterfly are all from A Picture Paints A Thousand Words kit. I also used three digis - the gold outline from butterfly 1, the rose trellis (coloured in ArtRage) and one of the blank journalling labels. All of these are from Crafty Ann's. The two realistic butterflies are from TBAB's Butterfly days and the goldy/creamy backing paper which also has butterflies on it is from A Mother's Love kit from Daisy Trail. I used Craft Artist Pro 2 to put the card together.

A Special Little Boy On A Special Day

Another page using the new kit - A Picture Paints A Thousand Words and Craft Artist Pro 2.

This adorable little chap found himself a great way of making sure that people remember his birthday - he arrived on 12/12/12! He was 8 days old here when we met him for the first time, but seemed to have a wise head on his shoulders judging by the look he gave my hubby! You can hardly blame him though, given that he was asleep when his Mam handed him over and this was the first time he'd clapped eyes on hubby. Lol!

A Picture Paints A Thousand Words

This is the first of two pages I've made from a brand new kit - A Picture Paints A Thousand Words. It's the biggest one we've ever done at Crafty Ann's and has been a couple of months in the creation. I put this page together in Craft Artist Pro 2. Everything is from the one kit which is quite unusual for me but there is such a lot in this one with lots of scope to create things to suit.

The page is to celebrate the arrival of a special little boy and he was just 8 days old when this photo was taken. The expression we were lucky enough to capture has a story all it's own and the title of the page sums it up perfectly and is what gave me the idea to use the canvas and easel.

I'd better get off and link my entry to these challenges before I run out of time for the Digitally Sweet one! Thank you for dropping by today.

2-0-1-3

It's time for our first challenge of the year at CACB - it seems a long time since our last one but at the same time it feels like no time at all!
I've been having major trouble with the internet connection so I'm scheduling this post and hoping the connection will last long enough for me to do it so I'll keep it brief to increase my chances.
Our theme this time is a recipe to welcome 2013: 2 papers, 0 flower embellishments, 1 image/photo & 3 embellishments. I've made a layout using a photo from a holiday in Gran Canaria almost 7 years ago now. I've used a backing paper that will be in a new kit soon and the second one is from Sweet Sage as is the fob watch. I've put this page together in CAP2 and 'embossed' the plain paper - then decided to put the traingles in the centre square. I'm not sure how I did it but this paper was also picked up by the embossed part of the other one. I rather liked it so left it and made the 4 photo corners from the same triangles. The ribbon and bow are from Eggsrtavaganza. All the kits are from Crafty Ann's.
