Wings & Things
Yesterday saw the lauch of a brand new challenge - CD Sunday. The rules are simple enough - your project must contain something from a CD (image, bp, embellishment) and follow the theme. This week the theme is 'Wings and Things'. There's all sorts I could have used but decided to stretch it a little more. I've had this idea in my head since I first drew the violin so decided it was time to get it out of there and make room for something else!
The thing I've used from a CD is the satin bp from Joanna Sheen's Fashion Boutique CD 1. I've placed the violin, bow, single rose and ticket onto the paper digitally before printing them off and colouring the images with promarkers. This is easily done because of the way these digi stamps are created with a transparent background. The flower and leaves are the 3D Short petal flower and were coloured with twinkling H2Os. The butterfly sitting on the flower and the dragonfly are from a much under used background stamp from inkdinkadoo but are a perfect size for this project. I coloured them with a mixture of promarkers and a sakura stardust pen. Then I cut them out and gave them dimension before adding them to the card. I thoroughly enjoyed finally seeing this idea come to fruition at last!
My card is also for these challenges:
