Gold bandana

It seems like ages since my last post! I seem to be struggling to get back into gear after our few days away so it's a relief to be posting again.
Today's offering is an ATC for Saturday's Workout Challenge. It's been difficult to get a photo to try and reflect the true colours for this with the poor weather and artificial lighting. After a few attempts it's fairly close but the true colouring is more of a sage green than this shows. I created two background pieces using a linen effect card base and pesto alcohol ink. On one of the base pieces I stamped the paisley background stamp from the Elusive images Filligree Fushion set using olive chalk ink then created the bandana effect using a sakura gold pen. The bandana effect is traditionally created by stamping with black and doodling with a white gel pen, but I fancied trying something different. On the second piece of AI background card I stamped one of the flourish stamps from the same stamp set with versamark ink and embossed with sparkle and sprinkle halo gold embossing powder before cutting it out and mounting onto the base card with 3D foam. 4 green brads finish it. I hope you like this different take on bandana and thanks for visiting today.

  5. Ooh nice one Ann. Lovely to use gold pen. Never thought of that. We used a white candle on Wendie's course and that works as well. Love Cynthia x
